Hreflang Tags Checker
Hreflang Tags Checker
Enter a domain or website URL to analyse.
The Hreflang Tags Checker collects the alternate link tags of a page and shows which language and region versions it declares. On a multilingual site these tags decide whether a Spanish visitor lands on the Spanish page or the English one, and a single wrong code puts the whole set out of step.
The page is fetched and every link element with rel=alternate is listed in the order it appears in the source, together with the address it points to. Tags written with the attributes in either order are recognised.
Check three things in the table: the codes follow the ISO form (en, en-gb, es-mx, not en_GB or en-uk), every listed address is reachable and canonical rather than a redirect, and each of those pages points back to all the others including itself. Alternates that are not returned are ignored by search engines.
